How it Works
When you contact Advanced Planning Group to explore a Performance Partnership, we'll begin by helping you segment and understand your client base to assess the opportunities before you. We'll help you conduct an extensive client discovery meeting--in a way that maintains their confidentiality--using a proprietary method called The Whole Client Model, developed by Russ Alan Prince, renowned affluence researcher. If both the advisor and Advanced Planning Group agree that there's a significant opportunity to work closely with one or more of your high net worth clients or a challenge we can solve for them, we'll initiate a Performance Partnership.
At this point, a private wealth specialist from Advanced Planning Group is your first point of contact to your advanced planning platform. This platform includes case management software, an expert network and a compensation program that's simple and transparent. We'll create a customized offering for you and for your clients, based on a needs analysis, at no cost to your firm. This includes (as needed):
- Marketing materials for your firm to communicate the advanced planning team's offering
- Extensive client interviews, conducted jointly
- Provisioning global specialists to collaborate on developing solutions
- Presenting and modifying solutions as needed
- Delivering world-class solutions

Compensation and Expenses
All the services of a Performance Partnership are provided at no cost to the advisor. The Advisor and Advanced Planning Group split transaction fees from many of the services delivered to the advisor's client. These fees are split equally between the advisor (50%) and Advanced Planning Group (50%). In many cases, such as insurance, the payouts our global specialists receive may be the highest in the industry because of our volume of our high net worth clientele. As a member of the Performance Partnership, you benefit from these high payouts. All fees generated are reported to you-compensation is transparent. In some cases--notably legal fees--fee sharing is not legally allowed.
As part of a Performance Partnership, Advanced Planning Group also covers all of the following fees, unless otherwise stated:
- Travel
- Marketing materials
- "Whole Client" modeling
- Client interviews
- Presentation materials and time
- Case tracking and reporting

Find out if you qualify
Most advisors who've successfully built practices and served their clients well already have the foundation for delivering an advanced planning solution for their top clients. In addition, advisors commonly have one or more high net worth clients (net worth in excess of $5 million to $100 million or more), although frequently an advisor is not sure of the extent or totality of the wealth of these clients.
Advanced Planning Group will help you conduct Client Discovery meetings to fully assess their wealth. A "qualifying opportunity" is one that meets both of these criteria:
- The client has a net worth in excess of $5 million.
- The client has needs that are not being met or a problem that they need to solve

The discovery interview is the first step to finding out if a Performance Partnership is right for you and the first step towards beginning your relationship with your high net worth clients as their "problem-solver." You'll receive a free assessment tool, The Whole Client Modeler, just for participating in a discovery interview. During the discovery interview, we'll walk you through the Performance Partnership process based on the facts you've presented. Depending on the status at that point, we'll either collaborate with you to gather more data (at no cost to you) or we'll mutually agree to enter into a Performance Partnership and introduce you to your turn-key advanced planning team--including Advanced Planning Group's Global Network of Professionals--right away.
